We are an entertainment public relations firm in LA. We represent celebrities, fashion and lifestyle clients.
You will be directly working with media outlets and actively researching/pitching. You will learn how to be a publicist. No making coffee, running errands, or getting 2nd hand knowledge on pr. Our interns have gone on to start their own firms, gone in-house for the companies we've represented and have landed some prime positions. It's a good stepping stone internship if you want to get serious about this industry.
We're looking for someone available twice a week Monday - Thursday, anytime after 10:30AM, who can come in for 4 hours per day.
The internship will consist of:
- Calling and emailing media outlets with pitches
- Working with the lead publicist on pitches
- working on individual clients campaigns and keeping track of your work
- Researching new publications
- Contributing ideas to current publicity campaigns
- Helping with press release and bio writing
Qualifications:
- Interest in public relations or the entertainment industry a must
- Some previous PR experience or currently attending school for PR
- Strong verbal communication and writing skills
- Comfortable making cold phone calls (quite important)
- Mac User (optional - if you have your own mac, that's even better).
